iPhone Case Review: Incipio Silicrylic

Here’s another issue men don’t deal with:

  • Finding ANYTHING that’s black in a purse, diaper bag or pile of folded laundry. Black in my wardrobe? YES.  Black for my iPhone? No thank you.

Color…we need some color and not necessarily just shades of pink. It’s rough to find a cover that combines protection without using the color black or bubblegum pink.

The Incipio Silicrylic.

A  two piece case which has a silicone core layer that covers the back as well as the all important front rim and portion of the face. Over it, snaps a clear matte acrylic piece that meshes with the silicone layer to form a pleasant feeling protective cover.

The case is great. It’s light weight and adds only slight bulk to the phone. The matte acrylic snap on piece makes it smooth in your hands without being slippery.  I’ve dropped the phone twice and there was no damage to the face nor to the case.  It’s sturdy without being ugly and even though it is white, it cleans off easily. You’d never know I’ve been using this case for 3 months.

While I still wish there was a way to combine great protection with a slim profile, this will do in the meantime.

Available in white, magenta, turquoise, dark blue, green, purple, gray or black (if you must). The price is average at $24.95 at Amazon.com or $23.75 at HandHeldItems.

Rating: ★★★★½

I agree, great case. Bought mine in magenta. There’s really nothing to not like about it. I’ve been carrying mine since October.
