iphonelayoutHere are some easy and useful tricks in using your iPhone. The diagram on the left will help give you a better understanding of where some of the buttons needed are located.

1. Want to get rid of unwanted calls quickly? Press the wake/sleep button located on the top of your iPhone once and it will stop the phone from ringing.  If you press it twice the call will be sent right to voicemail. Bye bye phone call!

2. Did you know that you can take a snapshot of your iPhone screen? Let’s say you see this great pair of shoes while browsing on your iPhone or iTouch and you’d like to text a picture of it to someone. Press the home button and the sleep wake button simultaneously and a picture of those shoes will be saved in your camera roll.

iphonetimerSince we are on the subject of sleeping and waking, here’s another great tip. If you like listening to music when going to sleep, you can set your iPod to turn off after a certain amount of time.

Just open up the “Clock” application and tap the timer button.  From there, set the amount of time you’d like before the music is turned off.

Next choose what you’d like to happen when timer ends and select “Sleep iPod”.  No more useless draining of your iPhone or iTouch battery!

Enjoy your nap!
